Tips to overcome writer's Block

I know, writer's block is another type of hurt. Thinking about your WIP and not being able to write in it is so torturing. But, I have found, through my short years of professional writing some tips that I would like to share with you, right now.

FIRST: GO TO PINTEREST

Yes, this is a weird one, but I have found that whenever I look at mood boards or pictures that remind me about my book, spark my creative side and I get excited about my book.

SECOND: LEARN TO LISTEN TO YOUR MIND

Now, it's writer's block is a thing, but you know what is too? DRAINING YOURSELF. Now, since I'm a student, this happens often due to the immense stress that I have to face during my school year. I don't usually realize I am draining myself until it's too late. Please, learn how to listen to your mind and when to take a break because trust me, even if you don't have writer's block and you constantly drain yourself, you won't be able to do a lot of things including writing.

THIRD: OVERCOME YOUR INNER FEAR

STOP. JUDGING. YOUR. WRITING. We are our biggest enemy. We don't often realize it because we usually associate it with the perfectionism and wanting to produce quality content. Remember, your character is allowed to make mistakes. They're human. Stupid decisions isn't equal bad book. In fact, it might be the contrary. People usually relate more to your book if your characters mess up once or twice ( or even more), but never forget your character's ARC. They need to change throughout the story in some kind of way, even if it is insignificant, otherwise your story isn't realistic.

I hope those tips will help you become a better writer who is sure of themselves and ready to tackle and finish their book! And most of all, REMEMBER WHY YOU STARTED WRITING IN THE FIRST PLACE!
